| | IN A raid carried out by the Kesco officials at a godown in Juhi, stolen power cables, spare parts of transformers and other electronic items worth Rs 1 crore were seized. All the seized goods belonged to Kesco and were stolen from several substations of the power company. Acting on a tip-off, chief engineer of Kesco, Randhir Singh informed the raiding team members of the power company about Kesco’s stolen material dumped in a godown at Basanti Nagar, Juhi. Superintendent of Police (SP Raid) Ratan Srivastav along with his team members carried out the raid. Srivastav said that stolen ariel bunch conductor (ABC), overhead 33 kv cable, conductors, earthig rod of a transformer and its spare parts were seized from the godown. Godown belonged to one Ramesh Chand Gupta. Till late in the evening, Kesco teams were engaged in accessing the exact cost of recovered seized. Suspected persons were being interrogated till late in the evening. |
