Jeev Milkha Singh, India's first entrant in the Masters, shot a second round of three-over-par 75 on Friday to advance to weekend play at Augusta National, tying four-times winner Tiger Woods in the process.

"It is a great feeling," Singh told reporters after making the cut. "I feel I handled myself well. I have the next two days to see what I can do."

Singh, 35, had two birdies and three bogeys on the front nine, and softened the effect of three bogeys on the back nine with a birdie at the last. He is five shots off the lead shared by South African Tim Clark and American Brett Wetterich.

"I'm enjoying every bit of it," said Singh, who became the first Indian to qualify for the Masters after winning four titles on three separate tours last year and topping the Asian Order of Merit in 2006.

"You don't enjoy the three-putts or the balls rolling off the greens, but you just have to be patient."

"Birdying the last hole leaves a better taste in my mouth."

Singh will be playing alongside American Tim Herron, teeing off for Saturday's third round at 1350 local time.
