Harry Potter book cover released

First it was the name, and now finally the wait for the book cover of the seventh and final Harry Potter book is over.

Fans will get to see the Harry lunging over a pile of treasure in the new cover. However, there is a bit of a difference in the adult and the children’s version of the book.

While kids will get to see Harry’s best friends Ron and Hermione also standing besides the boy wizard, in the adult version readers will also get to see a pendant embossed with a jewel-encrusted 'S'.

The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows cover was recently unveiled by publishers Bloomsbury.

However, if you’re hoping that the text on the back cover of the book will give you a hint of what to expect, well then you better not hold your breath, for it gives nothing away.

"Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task. He must leave the warmth, safety and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear the inexorable path laid out for him," the BBC quoted the back of the adult version.

Harry Potter fans are being torn apart by anticipation and dread, for though they can’t wait for the final instalment to hit stores, the biggest question is which two main characters author JK Rowling has killed off.

The book hits bookstores around the world on July 21 this year.
