| | PREPARATIONS FOR the Second Shrimant Maharaj Madhavrao Scindia Memorial State-level Cricket Tournament, to be inaugurated at Bhopal on Saturday, are complete. Madhav Jyoti Sports and Cultural Organisation will organise the event. Organising secretary Syed Shakeel Mohammad and organising committee president Asmat Siddiqui were satisfied with the preparations at Bab-e-Aali Stadium at Bhopal on Friday. “We are all set to organise the tournament. All preparations have been completed,” Shakeel Mohammad said. Various leading teams of the State including Indore Division, Hoshangabad, Sehore, Vidisha, Arera Academy, IPC, Ankur, St Michael's Cricket Academy and others would participate in the contest. All matches will be played as per international standards and would be of 40-over per innings. Scindia Memorial Cricket Tournament is the only State-level meet being organised in the City in the open category. Cash prizes have been announced to attract talented players. The winners would be awarded a trophy and Rs 21,000 while the runners-up would receive Rs 11,000. Besides, various individual prizes including man of the series, best fielder and best batsman would also be presented. Mayor Sunil Sood will be the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
