Injuries to their key players have put Federation Cup champions Mohun Bagan in a tight spot when they meet local champion Sporting Clube De Goa in the 11th ONGC National Football League match on Saturday at Nehru Stadium, Margao.

Bagan haven't had a smooth sailing in this league so far, having garnered 7 points from 7 outings. Injuries to their star strikers Jose Ramirez Barreto, Bhaichung Bhutia, Medio Tombo Singh and Dharamjit Singh has out them in a tight spot.

To add to their woes, Dhravanan, Sushil Kumar Singh, Subrata Paul, Subhash Chakraborty, Mehtab Hussain and Surajit Bose are all attending Indian camp in preparation for pre-Olympic qualifiers, leaving coach Chima Okarie to choose from 17 players.

On the other hand, Sporting Clube De Goa who also have not got their winning momentum going are on 8 points from 7 matches.

They will be fielding the same side that played last against Mohammedan Sporting which they drew, with the exception of Nicolas Nath, the first overseas player from Indian origin to play tomorrow after signing them last month.

His inclusion will certainly give boost to Sporting attack along with Dudu Omagbhemi, who will be looking to cash on home advantage to collect full points.

"It's going to be an exciting match as bagan are known for their high standard, my boys are all geared for the showdown, who will go all out for a win," stated Sporting's Manager Peter Valles.
